Died in Hospital from getting burned to death from saving kid from a church fire with PonyBoy and Dallas saved them but saved Johnny to late and he got worse burns then Pony. He knew he was gonna die he kept getting weaker and weaker, The Greasers won a fight from the Socs for Johnny, and they visited him every day, one day he got so weak he just died. That was the day Pony and them told Johnny they won, he's last words: "Stay Gold Pony, Stay Gold"

He also wrote a letter to Pony knowing he was gonna die and gave him a book Gone With The Wind <333

     It all started with the first chapter with PonyBoy walking down the street and the surprise of the Socs showing up, and you just had to keep reading you couldn't put it down then. Now, is the same 25 years later and we all remember S.E Hinton's story. This is special because it came from her experiences not something made up. We all remember Soda, Pony, Darrel., But do we remember the most important member of the gang? The one that keeps them sane? Everyone's "Kid Brother" {Coming Straight From The Book}. Johnny Cade AKA Johnny Cake, was the one who kept everyone sane, the one who everyone liked no matter what, but he never had the guts to say what he thought about something, he was a tag along. He was the one to kill a Soc , and felt guilty for doing it not victory but guilt, and scared to. Johnny was always nervous and scared, "Like a puppy that was kicked around to much" He was living in a house of people who had no care in the world for him he always went out looking for a place to stay even if it was a bench . His mother and father beat him and never loved him. Johnny was the one to run in and save the kids in the church they followed him, he always had courage when he wanted to save innocent people. Johnny Cade will always be remembered. <3
